An advanced strategic leadership opportunity for principals who have completed the foundational Strategic Leadership for Principals Programme (SLPP) or the Strategic Leadership for Rural Teaching Principals Programme (SLRTP).
This 2.5 day forum is designed specifically for principals from across Aotearoa looking to elevate their leadership skills and extend their impact beyond their immediate school community. Connect with a network of optimistic principals and experts from various fields outside of education to enhance your leadership capabilities and explore the power of networks, system-level transformation, and long-term strategic change.
What you will gain
By the end of the programme, you will:
- Broaden your professional network: You will expand your professional network, connect with experts, and learn from best practices from within and beyond the education sector.
- Develop and refine your system thinking mindset: You will learn about designing solutions for transformative change.
- Explore strategic execution: You will describe how you can contribute to delivering impact within and across systems.
- Strengthen data-driven decision making: You will consider how to use data to drive change and measurable impact
Programme outputs post-follow-up sessions:
- A tactical plan to address an issue or opportunity of system importance/relevance in your context.
- A measurement framework for the tactical plan
- A case study which can be shared across our network
Who it is for
This advanced programme is open to any principal who has completed SLPP or SLRTP and who wishes to enhance their strategic leadership capability for wider impact. Numbers are limited for this programme, and we will have one intake in 2024. Ideally participants will have:

How it works
The programme brings together about twenty participants. We will form groups within this cohort to work together on specific elements of the programme.
