Since 2007, Springboard Trust’s unique cross-sector model has supported the development of principals’ strategic leadership and planning skills, partnering them with experienced volunteer leaders from outside the education sector.
Principals work with other educator-volunteer pairings under the guidance of an expert facilitator and the Springboard Trust team. Through this high-trust partnership, we deliver a fresh lens, tools and frameworks to effect positive change in schools and wider communities while delivering profound personal and professional development for school leaders.

Over 10 months, each participant works with their key stakeholders to hone the vision for their school’s future and co-construct a 3-5 year strategic plan (including a 1-page version!) that will create the conditions for all learners to thrive.

Applying with Springboard Trust
Beginning the application process is easy – first, please ensure you:
- Have at least two years of experience as a principal
- Have been at your current school for at least 12 months
- Have no major PLD commitments/sabbatical in the coming year
- Have no Commissioner or Limited Statutory Manager in place
